Sugar Tip – Module Order

bsoremsugar —  October 28, 2011 — 2 Comments

This week SugarCRM Gold Partner EnableIT SugarUK‘s Mike Gee asks if you use some modules more than others in your SugarCRM system? If so, you may want to consider re-ordering the Module headers across the top of your SugarCRM screen.

To do this, click on your name or My Account at the top right of your screen (depending on SugarCRM version) and scroll down to layout options.

You can hide or show modules by highlighting the module name and clicking the relevant left/right arrow to move from display to hide or vice versa, as well as using the up/down arrows on the display tab to change what order the modules display across the header of the page (top is leftmost).

This tip was originally posted on the SugarUK Blogs where you can find a whole host of other useful SugarCRM tips.

That’s perfect for a per-user basis. For a system-wide setting, there’s a similar Administrator tool. As a system admin, click the “Admin” link in the top-right of the Sugar window, look for “Display Module Tabs and Subpanels” – here you do the same: hide or re-order module tabs (subpanels, too).

Another method: hiding access to particular modules to particular users using Roles.
