How to remove duplicated subpanels?

If you don’t follow any of the SugarCRM LinkedIn Groups, you definitely should. I always find some interesting tidbits and insight from fellow users and developers there, like this question from a few weeks ago…

I noticed I have some duplicated modules nesting under Accounts or Contacts. What is the best way to clean that up? If I rename a module it actually create a new subpanel. How do I prevent that for future?

This is something that can popup at times when you do lots of customizations on an instance with Module Builder. Luckily someone popped in with a good answer to resolving the issue, which was to do a “Rebuild Relationships” in the Repair section of the Admin console, which will clean up the duplicate relationships and in turn the duplicate subpanels. And as always, do a full “Quick Rebuild and Repair” as a cleanup to reset all the cache files.
