HOWTO: Remove subpanels from the detailview

A post came up on the forums recently where the poster was looking to find out how to remove the display of subpanels on a detailview. The many replies came in with different ways to accomplish this, depending upon what you are wanting to do. Here’s a rundown of the responses:

  • If you are looking to remove all subpanels for a particular module’s detailview, you can either create a file in custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Layoutdefs/custom.php with the following contents and do a repair

  • If you want to disable one module’s subpanel from appear in just one module’s detailview, add a custom view in custom/modules/Accounts/views/view.detail.php, that looks similar to this:

  • If you are wanting to disable a particular module’s subpanel from appear throughout the application, you can adjust this thru the ‘Display Module Tabs and Subpanels’ admin panel.

    custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Layoutdefs/custom.php 
    this one is apply to which version sugarcrm? I tried in sugarcrm 6.2.4 community version, it does not have any affect on it.
    Please advice.
