We are pleased to announce that we have added automated builds of our database schema for all versions of the product ( Community Edition, Professional, Corporate, Enterprise, and Ultimate ) to our documentation listed at http://docs.sugarcrm.com, to compliment the automated API documentation we added back in November.
We’ve had a lot of requests for providing this, since it helps those looking to migrate large amounts of data into Sugar much easier using third party tools. In the past we used to provide a large diagram listing out all of the relationships, but with an application that ships with over 100 tables this can be quite difficult to parse. So we turned to an amazing open source tool called SchemaSpy, which not only provides the overall big picture but also more detailed diagrams and information for each table. This provides a much improved documentation experience for developers, and should make it much easier for everyone looking to interact with Sugar at the database level much more easily.
Right now, schema documentation for Sugar 6.3.0 is now available from the documentation page, with 6.4.0 schema documentation coming in the next few weeks. Let us know what you think about this.
