Changing the summary view for all records in a module

Another great forums question!

Can I change the “recently viewed” for Cases to display the case number before the case name?
If so, how?

Just to illustrate, there’s two main places where this is seen; the global search…

… and the “Recently Viewed” and “Favorites” record lists…

What is shown here is controlled by the bean method set_summary_text(). You can override this in your class to change what would show here. So for example, if you create a new Tickets module and want to show the ticket number in the above areas, add this to your bean class…

    Is there an upgrade way method of doing this for stock modules? Guessing not.
