Two simple scripts for silent installing Sugar…

One of the nice parts about Sugar from a system administrator perspective is the easy ability to install Sugar without going thru the GUI based install wizard, but instead leveraging the silent installer functionality. I won’t go thru it in all it’s gory details, leaving that to the excellent writeup in our knowledge base, but instead show two ready to go scripts to do just this.

The first script is the config_si.php file, which sets the config parameters for the system ( more details here ); put this in the root of the Sugar install. And the second is the PHP script which you can call to execute the silent install itself.

The script has some basic error handling as well, which should help troubleshooting an install that goes wrong.
