Whether you’re researching a new software product or have already purchased it, you will most likely have some questions about it sooner or later. Every once in awhile, we get emails from customers asking questions about some of our modules that relate to variety of topics. We’ve chosen a few of the most commonly asked questions that we receive around a few of our popular modules and answered them in this post. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here they are…
Q: I’d like to see how it works first. Can I try it out before I buy it?
A: At the moment, we do not offer a trial version of SugarChimp 3.1.26. However, we do provide a user guide on the SugarChimp module page, as well as several informative videos showcasing how it works.
Q: What type of information does SugarChimp sync and how does it do so?
A: SugarChimp can sync a variety of information directionally and bidirectionally, but there are several variables that are factored into that process. Also, this synchronization matrix may help showcase these features and help answer this question in more depth.
Q: Which versions does SugarChimp work on?
A: SugarChimp is supported and tested on all versions after SugarCRM 6.3 and all editions of SugarCRM (Community Edition, Professional, Corporate, Enterprise, Ultimate). It also works on all versions and editions of MailChimp, however, it is not supported on beta versions or release candidates.
Q: Is it possible to merge files automatically with this module?
A: Yes, when you first set up the deduplication process there will be an option to automatically merge the files and which can be set to ‘yes’ or ‘no’. This is helpful if you want to see the results before they merge. You can also set it to ‘no’, then review the duplicates. If you wish to merge all the duplicates that were found, you can go back and set it to auto-merge, which saves you from having to do it manually.
Q: Is there a way to merge multiple files at once without doing it manually or setting up the auto-merge which will merge all the duplicates found?
A: Yes, there is the option to auto-merge, but you can also merge based on a set of rules. These rules will need to be created first, after the deduplication process has been set up.
Q: How does the GLink module know my Sugar information?
A: After you purchase and install the module, the “G” icon will appear on your toolbar. Click it to access the settings, then enter your license key, your SugarCRM username and password. Once this has been completed, save your settings and then you can test your SugarCRM connection. From here, you can begin using GLink whenever you’d like!
Q: How does GLink know who to archive my emails to?
A: GLink will give you the option to archive your emails to anyone in the To:, Bcc: and Cc: fields, so long as their email address is within your SugarCRM. If they are not already in Sugar, you can choose to add them as a lead or contact directly from your Gmail account.
